At the Centre School, we believe that positive relationships and exciting learning situations will lead to successful learners. The Extended Curriculum is a key aspect of this philosophy.
Every afternoon, the students participate in an activity they choose and enjoy. These include fishing, badminton, construction, cooking, valeting, go-kart racing, swimming and dog-walking to name but a few. During these activities, the students learn new skills and engage positively with those around them. Aspects of the core curriculum are built into the afternoons to make the learning natural and positive.
Students work towards the AQA Unit award scheme in the Key Stage 3 and Gateway Awards in Key Stage 4.
